Anne the
Artist...
I love all sorts of art. As a kid I saw Leonardo DaVinci's “Last Supper” and
was awestruck! My favorite artists are Claude Monet, Norman Rockwell and
Toulouse Lautrec. I love the influence of Asian art and furnishings. I love
gems of all kinds, especially midnight blue sapphires & diamonds. I love
wood, wicker and leather. I love fast cars. I love fog and sunshine, night
and day. I love flowers inside and out. I love purple and green and navy
blue…and black and tan and brown with red…or should I name the ones that I
do NOT like, perhaps. Maybe gray…but, no, I like it, too…when it becomes
fog.
Let’s see, what did I miss …oh, yeah, and I like to create things with my
hands. I love writing poems I call “thoughts,” in a sort of free form
artistry. I love beading and creating one-of-a-kind jewelry. I love quiet
swimming in warm pool water. I love dancing crazy and free. I love Yoga…it
makes me feel connected and healthy…mentally, spiritually & physically.
Oh, yes…and I love photography…and the wonderful pictures nature makes!
I see snapshots when I am driving…sometimes I stop and capture them on film.
I see pictures of flowers in vases, and animals of all sorts just waiting to
be noticed. I see colorful items collecting to make beautiful images in my
cameras’ eye. I see breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and shy moon views
against a matte black sky. I see still waters glistening reflecting all that
surrounds them in beautiful panorama. I see eagles taking charge perched
high on tree branches.
All these things I love provide such great outlets for when my skin gets too
tight, and I am feeling closed in.
I love that little artist place that I go in my mind to create…where nothing
else exists, and there is space to breathe, aloneness to focus, and
quietness to connect with the artist within. When I get there, really…the
most wonderful things appear, seemingly from mid-air!
I present in this website some of me and some of my favorite photos. I hope
some of these shots evoke good feelings in you…they surely did in me…
